Information we use

Chanda BOOK processes your account identifier, name, registered email and mobile details; Mandapam details and memberships; donations, donor contact information, expenses, receipts and related records; and subscription entitlements. Information you enter about other people should be shared only with appropriate permission.

Our website processes information you submit when using account-management features. Hosting and security systems may also process technical request information such as IP addresses, timestamps and browser details to operate and protect the service.

Why we use it

We use this information to authenticate accounts, provide the features you request, manage access and subscriptions, maintain records, answer support questions, prevent misuse and process account deletion. Authorised members can access Mandapam information according to their permissions.

Service providers and sharing

The app uses Google Firebase for authentication and included messaging services, Google Play for billing and distribution, and Google AdMob for advertising. These providers may process account, device, advertising and usage information under their own policies. Payment card details entered in Google Play are handled by Google Play, not by this website.

Our backend hosting provider processes data to operate the service. When you export, print or share records, the recipients and apps you choose receive those copies. We cannot remove copies already held by other people or services.

Security

Public production pages use HTTPS, and account actions require appropriate ownership checks. We limit access to account information for service operation. No system can guarantee absolute security. Never send your password, OTP, payment details or sign-in token to support.

Account deletion and retention

You can start account deletion from Delete Account or from My Account in the Android app. The deletion page explains the ownership check, permanent effects and associated data.

Active app records are removed during automatic deletion. A pending deletion job retains the account identifier until processing completes. A completed-job identifier and timestamp are kept for two hours to block reuse of old sign-in tokens, then scheduled for automatic removal. Google Play and other recipients may retain their own payment or accounting records under their policies. Backup copies, if present, expire under the hosting backup schedule; contact support for the applicable schedule.

Google Play manages subscription cancellation, billing records and refund decisions separately. Account deletion does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription. Copies of shared or printed receipts cannot be recalled.

Website storage

Essential session storage may be used to secure forms and maintain an account-management session. The public landing and information pages do not embed advertising or third-party analytics. Following external links takes you to another provider’s site.
